Mumbai is a dwelling to the Bombay High Court. The Bombay High court has influence over the states of Goa, Maharashtra, the Union territories (Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli), with the benches positioned at Aurangabad and Nagpur.

 

The Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa registered roughly 90,000 advocates as per 2009 data revealed. The Bar Council is symbolized by 25 nominated members from the terrain; the Advocate General of each region is an ex official associate of the Council.

 

The Bar Council chooses a delegate to the Bar Council of India as its associate and also nominates a chairman. The term of the intact Council is 5 years.
