Did you know that things that glow in the dark are called 'phosphorescent materials'? These absorb light energy and release it slowly. This phenomenon can be noted in living organisms.

When this 'glow in the dark' occurs in living organisms, it is called bioluminescence. There are key types of 'glow in the dark' phenomena, as follows: phosphorescence, bioluminescence, fluorescence, chemiluminescence, and radioluminescence.

Phosphorescence is seen in materials that store light and release it over time. Bioluminescence is found in living organisms that create their own light through chemical reactions. While fluorescence is found in materials that glow immediately only while exposed to ultraviolet (UV) or black light.

Chemiluminescence is when light is produced by a chemical reaction, such as in glow sticks. Whereas radioluminescence is seen in materials that emit light due to radiation.

In today's puzzle, we present you with images of three things in the world that glow in the dark. Can you name them before time runs out?

Let's head to the challenge to get a good look at them. Ready?

Name That Thing Puzzle: Name three things that glow in the dark in under 25 seconds!

Your challenge is simple. You have 25 seconds to identify and name these things in the image.

In the image, we have three things of many that glow in the dark. Can you tell what are these called?

This quiz is going to reveal how good your visual and word association is. This is a fun puzzle to test your IQ and general knowledge.

First up, we have bugs that are known for producing light through a highly efficient chemical reaction called bioluminescence.

Second we have what are known as eukaryotic organisms. These emit a soft blue light. These are rare mushrooms that thrive in humid forest floors.

Third, we have deep-sea organisms that produce their own light. These emit light through a chemical reaction, often releasing glowing slime to confuse predators.

Any guesses so far? These come up in biology lessions focusing on how living organisms produce and emit light through chemical reactions.

Your timer is ticking. Take your guesses and lock in your answers before time runs out.

Only 10 seconds more to crack this puzzle. Do you think you will ace this puzzle with flying colours?
