Punjab: Literacy rate as per Census 2011

Punjab’s literacy rate has witnessed aloft tendency and it was 75.84 % as per Census 2011. The male literacy rate was 80.44 % however the female literacy was 62.52 %.

Punjab’s literacy rate has witnessed aloft tendency and it was 75.84 % as per Census 2011. The male literacy rate was 80.44 % however the female literacy was 62.52 %.

In the year 2001, Punjab’s literacy rate was 69.65 % out of which the male literacy stood at 79.66 % and female literacy at 60.53 %.

The total number of literates in Punjab stood at 18,707,137 out of which the males were 10,436,056 however the females were 8,271,081.
