Ross Taylor Retirement: Celebrated New Zealand batter Ross Taylor announced his retirement from International Cricket, ending his 17-year cricket career.
The ongoing home season against Bangladesh will be his last Test series while his last ODI appearance will be against Australia in February 2022 and Netherlands at home ground in March 2022.

Ross Taylor was born on 8 March 1984 to Neil Taylor and Ann in Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand. Ross Taylor's mother hails from Samoa Village of Saoluafata while his father is from New Zealand. His full name is Luteru Ross Poutoa Lote Taylor. Taylor is an alumnus of Wairarapa College and Palmerston North Boys High School.

One Day International (ODI) Debut
Ross Taylor made his international cricket debut on 1 March 2006 with an ODI match against West Indies. After Murphy Su'a, Taylor is the second male player of Samoan descent to play for the New Zealand cricket team. New Zealand won the match by 91 runs wherein Taylor scored only 15 runs.
Twenty20 International (T20I) Debut
He made his T20 debut on 22 December 2006 at Sky Stadium against Sri Lanka. He made only 21 runs off 21 balls before being dismissed by Muttiah Muralitharan. The match was won by Sri Lanka by 18 runs.
Test Debut
Ross Taylor made his Test debut against South Africa on 8 November 2007 at The Wanderers Stadium. He scored 15 runs off 28 balls. South Africa won the Test Match by 358 runs.
