DU Admissions 2019: Registrations to start from May 30, Check Details Here

The University of Delhi has announced the dates for the commencement of the online registration process for the Undergraduate Programmes for the 2019-20 academic year. As per the official notification released by the university, the University will be starting with the admission process from May 30, 2019 onwards.

However, admissions to postgraduate programmes such as post graduate diploma in cyber security and law and M.Phil/Ph.D. courses will commence from June 3, 2019. For the first time ever, the University has also announced that it consider providing full scholarship to the students whose both parents are deceased or unemployed. It will also be providing half fee waiver to those students whose families earning member is deceased so as to cover their college and university fee.

DU had been facing a lot of flak for the delay in the commencement of the admission process. Last year the university has started the admission process from May 15 however this year there was a lot of confusion regarding  the start date of the DU admission process. The CBSE results had come out on May 2, 2019. DU finally cleared the speculation regarding the date for the commencement of the DU 2019 Admissions in the official press release announced by it yesterday.

The press release also stated that the 2019 Admissions at the University of Delhi will be carried out completely in the online mode for all categories and quotas. Candidates will be able to find detailed information regarding the registration process and procedures in the Bulletin of Information that will be made available in the online mode in the downloadable form. The University has also asked the aspirants that they along with their parents can attend the open day programmes and understand the admission process in the colleges of university.

The DU Officials said that the delay in announcing the commencement date for the admissions process was due to the process of setting up the website and updating the software 'to make the process smoother and objective.' Although the registrations are commencing from Friday onwards, DU is still to yet to confirm for how long will the registrations window remain open.
