
Four of the Indian Institute of Management IIMs and Indian School of Business, ISB have been placed in the Top 100 list of Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2021. According to the list released, the Indian School of Business has been ranked in the 23tf position while IIM Bangalore was placed 35th, IIM Calcutta at 44th, IIM Ahmedabad at 48th, and IIM Indore at 94th in the overall rankings.
According to reports, IIM Indore has entered the top 100 list for the first time while ISB has improved four positions as compared to the rankings from the previous year while IIM Ahmedabad has climbed 13 positions. IIM Calcutta and IIM Bangalore have dropped 2 and 8 positions this year.

Criterias for ranking
The list has a total of 143 schools that participated in the 2021 edition of the rankings and all the participating institutions have met the Financial Times Entry Criteria which include accreditation by Equis of AACSB. The rankings of the institutions depend on 20 different criteria. Alumni responses form eight criteria which together contribute to 61 percent of the weightage. Eleven criteria are calculated from school data which comes to 29 percent of the ranking. The remaining criteria for the ranking include Research Rank which comes up to 10 percent according to the Financial Times Report.
The rankings by Financial Times are considered as a parameter for the quality of MBA and Executive management education aspirants along with businesses highly overrating it.
MoU between IIT Kanpur and IIM Lucknow
Two of the premier institutions of Uttar Pradesh - IIT Kanpur Research and Technology Park and IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre have joined hands and signed a Memorandum of Understanding promoting upcoming enterprises. According to authorities, the association of the two institutions can foster close links between academia and industry along with opening new avenues of resource sharing.
