GATE Application 2022 Ends Today: As per the official schedule, the registration and application process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2022) will end today i.e. on 30th Sept 2022. The IIT-level entrance exam is being held to screen candidates who are seeking admission to the postgraduate (PG) programmes in engineering or science. Candidates who are yet to complete the GATE 2022 applications for the PG Engineering Entrance Exam, can do so through the link on the official website. How to apply for the GATE 2022 Entrance Exam?

To facilitate the registration and application process for GATE 2022 engineering entrance exam, the exam conducting institute i.e. IIT Kharagpur has launched GOAPS portal. In case a candidate needs further information about applying for GATE 2022 exam registration process, the same has been explained in detail below:

Step 1: Log onto the official website i.e. gate.iitkgp.ac.in

Step 2: Locate link for Apply Online and Click on it

Step 3: You will be sent to a new page with instructions

Step 4: Read the important instructions listed on the page

Step 5: Click on ‘New User, Register Here’ link

Step 6: Provide your basic details including name and contact details to complete registration

Step 7: Log onto the portal and Fill GATE 2022 application form

Step 8: Upload supporting documents including scanned images of photograph and signature

Step 9: Pay the registration fee as notified for your category

Step 10: Preview the filled GATE application form 2022

 GATE 2022 to be held for 29 subjects/paper

According to the official notification, the GATE 2022 exam is scheduled to be held for 22 exam subjects or papers. The exam would be held for 29 papers including in subjects Aerospace Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mathematics, Architecture, and Planning (New Pattern), Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Mining Engineering. 

Step 11: Submit and download confirmation page and take a printout for future reference 

Candidates applying for the GATE 2022 examinations must note that they are first required to read through the eligibility criteria provided before submitting the applications. In case a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility provided, their candidature will be cancelled.
