According to the latest reports, Haryana School Education Department has asked the private schools in the state to update the Management Information System providing correct details regarding the enrolment of the students. The department was referring to the data of 12 lakh children which had not been uploaded by the schools.
Management Information System of the Education Department
In the previous academic year, approximately 29 Lakh students enrolled in the Private schools in the state from which the data of 17 Lakh students were updated on the MIS by the schools. The Management Information System of the Education Department covers the database of all government and private schools by which the admissions can be monitored through a Unique Student Registration Number given to every student.
The private schools in Haryana are not updating the details of the students while the rights to upload the data are completely in the hands of the schools and the information can be updated only by logging in through the Login ID of the particular school. As per reports, the details of 12 Lakh students are yet to be updated on MIS by the private schools.
Action Against Schools not completing data entry
Haryana State Education Minister Kanwar Pal directed the private schools in the state to update the MIS immediately. He further stated that at present 12 Lakh children are on the MIS portal so there is no chance of any dropout. The minister also stated that after the given time frame action will be taken against the private schools which have not yet updated the record of the students.
