The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has launched a new two-year Executive MBA programme at its Dubai campus for experienced professionals working in India and the Gulf region. The programme is designed for professionals who want to develop leadership and strategic management skills without taking a break from their careers.
The programme will run across six terms and include in-person weekend classes at the IIMA Dubai campus. Participants will also attend a seven-day residency at the IIM Ahmedabad campus and take part in an international immersion programme. A faculty-supervised executive capstone project will also be part of the course.
IIM Ahmedabad Executive MBA Dubai: What Will Students Study?
The Executive MBA curriculum will focus on cross-functional decision-making, enterprise leadership, technology and artificial intelligence in business. The programme will use case-based learning to help participants develop broader business and leadership skills.
The programme is intended for professionals whose work involves India and Gulf markets. IIMA said the course is designed to help experienced professionals take on wider strategic responsibilities while continuing their careers.
What Is An Executive MBA?
An Executive MBA (EMBA) is a management programme designed mainly for professionals who already have significant work experience. Unlike a traditional full-time MBA, an Executive MBA generally allows participants to continue working while pursuing their management education.
IIM Ahmedabad Executive MBA Eligibility
Candidates applying for the programme must have at least six years of post-graduation work experience, including a minimum of three years in a managerial or leadership role. Applicants must also hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
For admission, candidates can submit scores from the IIMA Admission Test, GMAT, Executive Assessment or GRE. Shortlisted candidates may also be required to appear for a personal interview as part of the selection process.
IIM Ahmedabad Dubai Campus: Third Programme
The new Executive MBA is the third programme offered through IIMA's Dubai campus. The campus already offers a one-year MBA programme and has expanded its academic offerings with the new Executive MBA.
Applications for the two-year Executive MBA are currently open. Interested candidates can check the official IIMA Dubai Campus admission portal for eligibility requirements and application details.
