Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha 2021: The Delhi Directorate of Education conducted the Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha for class 9th students. The scholarship exam was held to shortlist 1000 students for the annual science scholarship. All the finally selected students will receive Rs.5000 as a science scholarship.
The scholarship will encourage the students towards science education who are in secondary classes at the school level. This year, a total of 23,580 students registered for Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha out of which 20,199 students appeared in the exams. The scholarship exam was conducted at 91 government schools in Delhi.
Eligibility for Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha 2021
The students who are studying in government, govt-aided and recognised schools of Delhi in class 9th will be eligible for the scholarship. Also, they must have secured 60 percent marks in class 8th. However, those belonging to SC, ST, PH, or OBC category will be given a relaxation of 5 percent.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, It is a crucial step for our government to promote excellent and talented students. These students are the future of our country, they will become future scientists, engineers, doctors and architects and will make our nation proud. The Delhi cabinet had approved this scholarship scheme on 5th February 2021 to promote science education in secondary classes at the school level.
