Odisha Medical Colleges: A proposal to set two more medical colleges have been approved by the Odisha State Government in Puri and Jajpur. According to reports, the new medical colleges will be constructed at an expenditure of Rs. 651.10 Crore.
Odisha state Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari while speaking about the new medical colleges stated that a private construction major will be taking up the project which is a 600-bed government medical college and teaching hospital in Puri along with a 500-bed medical college and teaching facility in Jajpur. The minister further added that the construction will be completed within three years.
The Odisha state government on December 9, 2020, announced its plans to construct a state run medical college and teaching hospital in Kandhamal and a 650 bed teaching hospital for the existing medical college in Koraput.
Odisha NEET Counselling
According to the latest reports, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board recently released the second round seat allotment for the Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2020. Students who have been allotted seats in the second round of allotment are required to visit the colleges allotted to complete the admission process. The last date for students to complete the admission fee payment is today - December 15, 2020. According to the schedule released, the spot round for the counselling will be conducted by December 20, 2020.
