Patliputra University (PPU) started accepting online admission forms for its four-year undergraduate (UG) CBCS program for the 2025–29 session on April 29. After running for 41 days, the admission portal was closed on Monday. As per Rajeev Ranjan, the Dean of Students' Welfare, PPU received 1,02,419 applications by 7 PM for Degree Part I courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce across its constituent and affiliated colleges in Patna and Nalanda districts.
Ranjan said that the university will release its first merit list on June 12. Students whose names appear on the list can complete their admission process by June 17. He also mentioned that document verification for these students will happen on June 18.
The second merit list will be announced on June 21, with the admission deadline set for June 26. Document validation will be concluded on June 27. Similarly, the third merit list will be issued on June 30, with qualified students need to take admission by July 4. According to the DSW, document verification for the third merit list will be held on July 5. The fourth merit list will be published on July 8, with the last date for admission on July 12. All campuses will complete document verification by July 14.
Students are advised to regularly check the official PPU website for updates to avoid any last-minute issues. According to the DSW, the university will not accept any admission requests for regular courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce after the deadline. He also said that new academic classes for Degree Part I will start on July 15.
