TN Engineering Final Year supplementary exams 2020 will be attempted by around 21,000 students who could not appear for the examinations conducted earlier.

TN Engineering Final Year Supplementary Exams 2020: The final year students of TN Engineering colleges who could not attempt the exams conducted earlier will appear for Final Year supplementary exams to be conducted this month. As per reports, around 21, 000 students will appear for the TN Engineering Final Year Supplementary Exams 2020 to be conducted from 17th to 21st November 2020. The students include absentees and students who could not appear for the exams conducted earlier due to technical glitches.

TN Engineering Final Year Exams

The final year engineering exams were conducted earlier for about 1.5 lakh students in the online proctored mode from 24th to 29th September 2020. The University, after getting due permission from State Disaster Management Authority, informed the students that supplementary exams for the final semester will be conducted online for all University Departments and degree programmes from 17th November 2020 onwards. The official statement also said that candidates who could not appear for the exams conducted earlier due to issues in internet connectivity, disruption of power supply and absentees will be able to sit for the supplementary exams.

Exam Pattern

As per the official statement, the TN Engineering Final Year Supplementary Exams 2020 will be of 60 minutes duration. The online tests will carry only 30% weightage while 50% weightage will be given to pre-final semester exams and 20% weightage is given to internal exams conducted by the Unversity. Students will be provided with more choices as they are required to answer 30 out of 40 questions. No announcements were made for candidates whose results have been put on hold due to malpractices. The officials from the university said that the committee enquiries are being made and a call will be taken after going through the evidence.
