The candidates who appeared in 2012 West Bengal Teachers Eligibility Test (WBTET) can also write the WB TET 2014 along with the new applicants, if they are willing to improve their score. West Bengal Government has already nodded to the candidates who were willing to re-write the exam in 2014.
The Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) in West Bengal will be held on the revised date - 30 March 2014 as per the guidelines of National Council for Teacher Education. More than 5.3 lakhs registrations have been received for the WB TET 2014.
Those candidates, who wrote the WB TET paper in 2012 and wish to appear again for the second time, are required to inform the board via visiting the official website of West Bengal Board of Primary Education: http://www.wbresults.nic.in/primary_tet/primary.htm
As per the NCTE guidelines, the candidates who applied for the TET Examination, 2012 and are willing to appear at the TET 2014 under the revised conditions of TET- 2014 shall be allowed to sit for the second TET Examination only, without charge of any fees.
The link has fields through which 2012 candidates need compulsorily provide their information in order to be eligible to appear for the re-appear in exam. After providing Roll number, Name and other details the candidature will get an Acknowledgement Receipt which will be a token of confirmation of acceptance of his/her candidature and allotment of the venue for the Second TET.
If candidates lost admit card of 2012 they will not be eligible to give the information through the mentioned website link. Candidates with missing Admit Card will receive on West Bengal Board of Primary Education website, about how to apply for re-appear in WB TET 2014.
WBTET 2014 Examinees if qualified successfully will receive a Certificate, which will be valid for 3 years and will act as one of the minimum eligibility-criteria to be eligible to apply for the recruitment to the post of Primary School Teachers.
