Allahabad University was established on 23 September 1887 and is the fourth oldest university of India. This premier Central University is located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh and invites application from eligible candidates for selecting students for admission to its self-financing 5 year Integrated BA LLB (Hons.) through Law Five Year Admission Test (LFAT 2012).

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in Allahabad University

Educational Qualification: The Students who have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST) at 10+2 or 11+1 or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Academic Council of University of Allahabad and the Bar Council of India.

Age Limit (as on 1 July 2012): Maximum 20 years (General); Maximum 22 years (SC/ ST/ OBC)

Selection Procedure for Admission in Allahabad University: Admission to 5 year Integrated BA LLB (Hons.) will be through Entrance Test which will consist of three papers.

• Paper I (Language Comprehensive)
• Paper II (General Awareness and Current Affairs)
• Paper III (Reasoning, Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude)

Paper I and Paper II each will have 100 objective type question of one mark each. For every correct answer one mark shall be awarded and for every wrong answer 1/3 mark will be deducted.

Paper III will have 50 objective type questions of two marks each. For every correct answer two marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer 2/3 marks will be deducted. The merit of candidates shall be prepared on the basis of computer marks obtained by the candidates in all the three paper of the Test.

How to Apply for Admission in Allahabad University: Candidates can either apply online on the site http://www.auadmission.co.in or obtain OMR Forms along with information brochure will also be available for purchase from Pravesh Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad-21102 U.P. on all days including holidays between 10 am to 4 pm.

Application Fee: Application fee for General/ OBC category candidates is Rs 1200 and fee for SC/ ST/ PH candidates is Rs 600. Candidates can deposit fee through DRAFT made in favour of ‘Finance Officer, University of Allahabad', payable at Allahabad or download the CHALLAN of State Bank of India from the website and fill it up correctly by mentioning all the details required.

The student is required to send the original university copy of CHALLAN/DRAFT to Director Admissions, Pravesh Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad and bring the photocopy along with its Admit Card to the Test Centre and submit it at the time of Test.
