  • Date for Written Examination: 17 June 2012 at Hyderabad only

Eligibility Criteria for recruitment in Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC)

Educational Qualification: Must possess a First or Second Class Post Graduate Degree in Archaeology or History or Indology or Anthropology or Museology or Sanskrit or Persian from any University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, or Provincial Act or a State Act or an Institute recognized by the University Grants Commission. OR Must possess 1st or 2nd class in Siromani (Final) examination conducted by Sri Venkateswara  University, Tirupathi or any other examination equal to the above conducted by the Universities in Andhra Pradesh.

Age Limit (as on 1 July 2011): Maximum 36 years

Pay Scale: Rs 16,150- 42,590

Selection Procedure for recruitment in Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC): The final selection will be based on the written examination (Objective Type) conducted by the commission.

Application Fee: Each applicant must pay Rs 180 (Rupees One Hundred Only) towards Application Processing Fee and Examination Fee and Rs 100 (Rupees One Hundred Only) towards application processing fee is compulsory for all Applicants.

The Applicant should pay the prescribed Fee in any one of the AP Online centres/ State Bank of India and obtain Fee paid challan with Journal Number in the first instance.
