Assam PSC Notified Recruitment to the Post of Director 2013

    Assam Public Service Commission invited application for recruitment to the post of Director of Elementary/SCERT/ Secondary/ Higher Education. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 30 May 2013. The Assam Public Service Commission came into existence on 1 April 1937 in accordance with the provision of the Govt. of India Act, 1935 with Mr James Hezelett, a retired ICS officer from London, as its first Chairman.

    Age Limit
    Candidate maximum age should be 50 years as on 1 January 2013.

    Educational Qualification
    • First Class or High Second Class Master Degree in Arts/Science/ Commerce from any recognized Indian University or its equivalent and atleast 10 years teaching experience with atleast 5 years administrative experience.
    • Members of Assam Education Service having minimum 5 years administrative experience will be eligible to apply for the post provided they are within the prescribed age limit.

    Application fee

    Candidates need to pay Rs. 5/- (Rs. 2.50/- for SC/ST candidates) as application fee showing name of post and Department and also full Head of Account ‘Non Tax Revenue-Other Non Tax Revenue-0051-PSC, 102-State Public Service Commission Application/ Examination Fee Receipt of A.P.S.C.

    Pay Scale: Rs.12, 000/- to Rs. 40,000/- PB-4 plus Grade pay of Rs. 7600/-

    Selection Process
    Selection of candidates will be made on basis of interview. Shortlisted candidates on basis of their qualification will be called for interview. However, in case, number of applications received from applicants exceed number as decided by commission, a written exam will be conducted before interview.

    • Candidates are required to download the application from the website or can be obtainable from the Issue & Receipt Section of the Assam Public Service Commission, Jawahar Nagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 on written requisition addressed to the Deputy Secretary, Assam Public Service Commission stating clearly the name of the post and Department, up to 4.00 pm during office hours on working days only.
    • Fill the application with all mandatory details. affix 2 signed copies of  photographs along with the attested copies of the necessary documentary proofs in support to the age, caste, educational,  experience certificates, Challan and send it to the address given below:
