An Inter-collegiate Management Fest is going to go offshore, with MBA students of Jain University - CMS Business School onboard a cruise liner.
Likely to draw around 175 participants from around 50 B-schools across the country, Cranium, the management fest, will be on the cruise for over four days and five nights in November. Following its prelims held at university’s JP Nagar campus on 21 and 22 October, the Fest will have its finals on a cruise liner, travelling from Singapore to Langkawi and Phuket. To sync with the location, the theme of the event is chosen as 'bubble burst'.
The fest includes events for the best manager, a business quiz and others involving marketing, finance, human resources and operation skills.
The student coordinator of the event said, "We wanted the fest to be different from others and the cruise idea was completely out of the box. We're designing events too accordingly".
The dean of CMS Business School stated that they have been supported their students to take risks and think big. They wanted to redefine the concept of a management fest, and the Cranium is a result of that. It has a successful track record over the years, said the Dean.
