Out of a total of 7623 candidates eligible for the physical efficiency test, 6788 candidates appeared and 835 candidates remained absent.

Through this recruitment drive, Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) aims to fill a total of 1275 vacant posts of Sub Inspector (Daroga). Recruitment for these posts started with the written examination held on 17 December 2023, followed by a physical efficiency test and document verification. While the main exam was held on 25 February 2024. Candidates who were successful in the main exam were called for the physical test which was conducted from 10 June to 19 June 2024.
