CBSE Class 10 Board Exams: Salient Features

CBSE Class 10 Results are the stepping stones for the youngsters who wish to pursue the careers of their dreams. The performance in these examinations lets the students ponder over as to which stream to opt for; which would be most suited to their abilities, strengths, and areas of interests. Thus, the class 10 results are vital in giving the right direction to the path that would lead to a valuable future.

CBSE Class 10 Exams are conducted in two modes –  Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) Pattern and Board Pattern.

CBSE Class 10 results are widely accepted internationally and also by other Boards and institutes in the country.

Admissions:

According to the CBSE Guidelines; direct admission to CBSE Class 10 is not acceptable.

The candidate needs to provide a proof of his/her Regular Course of study for Class 9 and also the Passing Certificate provided by the School affiliated to CBSE Board or any other equivalent Board/s.

In case of a transfer from other Board, a Transfer Certificate should also be provided.

The admission process starts directly after the results for Class 9 are declared; which is usually from the month of April to June, varying from region to region.

Datesheet/Time Table:

CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet is usually disclosed by the first week of January at the same time alongwith Class 12 Date Sheet; as per the previous records. Any subsequent changes to this could be attributed to the respective Government arrangements.

Examination Dates:

CBSE Class 10 Exams commence by the first week of March and conclude by the middle of March as seen through the previous records. Again, any changes to this schedule could be attributed to Government arrangements.

Declaration of Results:

The results are declared by the middle of May and are generally declared in parts or from region to region.

Improvement Examination:

CBSE conducts the Class 10 Improvement Examination for the Students who need to score at least passing marks to qualify for the next grade. Those Students who prefer to score better marks could also apply for these improvement exams.

The examination generally begins in the middle of July and lasts for a week. The results for the same are often seen to be declared by the first week of August.
