Girls have yet again stumped the boys as the CBSE Class 10 results got declared on 24 May 2012 around 6.45 pm, fifteen minutes ahead of the scheduled time. Nearly 11.8 lakh students were registered for Class 10 examinations.
A beasty figure of 98.19 percent students has cleared the examinations, and a total of 68,400 students have scored a full 10 CGPA. Delhi results in particular came up with a picture that revealed that government schools nailed the results over public schools.
Delhi government schools maintained a stoic 99.2% pass percentage in comparison to the public schools which stood at a blistering 98.78%.
The CBSE Class 10 results were declared for Delhi, Guwahati, Allahabad, Ajmer, Patna, Bhubaneswar and Panchkula on the 24th of May 2012. Zone wise, Chennai emerged victorious amongst all the regions with a humongous 99.45 pass percentage. The positive thing is that, all the regions have registered a significant jump since the last year.
The board clarified that even though the examinations were conducted in two different forms i.e. the School based and the Board based, a uniform certificate would be issued to all the candidates.
The figure reveals that 60% students took the School based evaluation and the rest 40% sat for the conventional boards, further validating that the new reform has indeed given a free will to the students to choose the option they like.
Jagran Josh wishes all the students a hearty congratulations and a very good luck for the future endeavors.
