In this video we will learn about gravity.
- The ‘g’ is called acceleration due to gravity and its value is set at 9.8 ms-2.
- On finding the relation between the gravitational constant and the gravity, we get
g = GM/R2
- The inferences are:
a) g is directly proportional to the Mass of Earth
b) g is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the object and the Earth.
- If carefully viewed, we may find that g is independent of the mass of the object.
