Ending the anticipation over the class XII (HSC) results, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will announce class XII (HSC) results on Monday, June 2. The announcement has come as relief to students, as there were fears that the results could get delayed due to the recently held elections.

Across Maharashtra, a total of 1337114 candidates have appeared for the examination. Of these, 450176 have appeared for the science stream, 466723 from the arts stream, 362705 from the commerce stream and 54,347 from the vocational stream. The exam was conducted from February 26 to March 26, 2014.

Students interested in taking a printout of their results before receiving their mark sheets can do so soon after the declaration of the result on June 2. Students can get photocopies of their mark sheets on June 10 from their respective colleges. Last year, the result for HSC was declared on May 30, 2013.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune 411004 is an Autonomous Body established under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education conducts the HSC and SSC Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri. The Board conducts examination twice a year and the number of students appearing for the main examination is around 14 Lacs for HSC and 17 Lac’s SSC, for the supplementary examination around 6 Lacs students are expected HSC and SSC together. There are about 21000 schools (SSC) and 7000 (HSC) Higher Sec. Schools / Jr. colleges in the entire state.
