COMEDK UGET-2015: Exam dates are announced

The dates for Undergraduate Entrance Test-2015 (UGET-2015) have been announced by the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). The notification in this regard has been published on the official website of COMEDK. Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET 2015) will be conducted on May 10th, 2015. The examination is conducted by the COMEDK for admission in first year of various undergraduate courses of medical, dental and engineering stream.

About:
COMEDK is the “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka”. It conducts an Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) to determine the merit of students seeking admissions to the undergraduate courses in the member institutions of the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation Trust (KPCF). There are 14 Medical, 25 Dental and more than 150 engineering colleges who make available almost 20,000 seats for admission.

Eligibility:

• Candidate must have passed 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent Examination recognized by State / Central Government.
• They must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with English as compulsory subjects.
• They must have scored passing marks in each subject individually.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).

Exam pattern:

• Duration of the exam: Three hours
• Multiple choice questions
• Total No of Questions: 180
• Physics: 60 questions
• Chemistry: 60 Questions
• Mathematics: 60 Questions
• Each correct answer is awarded one mark
• There is no negative marking

How to apply:
Candidates can apply online only. Candidates can pay the fee by demand draft only which should be drawn from the nationalized banks in favour of “COMEDK” payable at Bangalore.
