CBSE CTET September 2016: Complete Schedule, Qualifying Marks

The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has published the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam notification for all the interested aspirants who are interested in teaching the classes from I to VIII. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2016 will be 10th Edition of CTET Exam conducted by CBSE on 18-09-2016 (Sunday) for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII. The CTET exam enables the successful candidate to teach at government schools, KVs (Kendriya Vidyalayas), and any other schools which accept the CTET score.

Exam Schedule:

Submission of On-line application: 22nd June to 18th July.

Last Date for submission of fee through E-challan or Debit/Credit Card: 19th July (Before 3:30 PM)

Final status of Candidates-Check Status & Particulars of candidates whose fees received: 20th July

Period for On-line Corrections in Particulars (No correction will be allowed in any particulars after this date): 20th July to 25th July

Downloading of Admit Card from CTET website: 17th August

Examination Date: 18th September

Declaration of Result: 2nd week of November 2016.

Qualifying Marks and Award of CTET Certificate:

The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.

School Managements (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.

Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

 

Validity Period of CTET Certificate:

The awarded CTET certificate validity will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
