UGC NET/ JRF will be conducted by the National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission on 30 December 2012. Candidates who are applying for the exam can download State Bank of India’s Bank Challan from 1 November 2012 to 16 November 2012.
UGC NET is conducted twice in a year for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. Candidates who desire to pursue research are required to opt for it in their application forms. The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is available for five years subject to fulfilment of certain conditions and is awarded to the meritorious candidates from among the candidates qualifying for eligibility for lectureship in the NET.
