The Delhi University (DU) released the second Cut-Off List for admissions in various colleges on 29 June 2012. Earlier, DU came up with the first Cut-Off List on 26 June 2012. The-cut off percentages for admission to popular courses in Delhi University did not show any remarkable drop in its second list. Most of the Colleges (14 approx) even closed the admissions for one of the popular courses, BCom (Hons) leaving the students in dismay.
Disappointing the Commerce aspirants, who were looking forward to get admission in one of the prestigious DU Colleges, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) already declared a 'no-no' for the second Cut-Off list. SRCC closed admission to B Com (Hons) but is still admitting in Economics at a percentage of 96.5 to 97.5 %. Normally SRCC has a total intake of 624 seats, out of which 501 are reserved for BCom Honours and the rest 123 for Economics Honours. However, this year (2012), SRCC has admitted 584 students in BCom Honours and 110 students in Economics Honours course.
According to the SRCC administrative sources, the admissions are near completion after the release of first Cut-Off list, seats are already occupied in the BCom (Hons) Course. The students should keep this is mind that 2 July is the last date to submit the fess and other admission formalities.
