A group of 9 students visited Kannaur University in Kerala as a part of international exchange programme between Kannur University’s management department and the University of Calw in Germany along with its sister institution Riedlingen University of Germany. Riedlingen and Calw in Germany is also the birthplace of missionary, scholar, and linguist - Hermann Gundert.
This academic exchange programme is in its seventh year. The 9 German students reached Kannur University under the guidance of Riedlingen university professor, Marcel Frederik. The German University delegates and students reached India for Exchange program on October 29.
They will visit various university grounds assisted by the management department of the Kannur University. They intend to exchange ideas with the students of Host University as informed by Vice Chancellor, Khade R Mangad of Kannur University.
Visiting other major educational institutions of south India such as Kozhikode IIM is also on foreign students list. The team shall also visit the main tourist destinations of Kerala.
Professor Marcel Frederik will also be a guest lecturer for the management students of Kannur University and will take classes as a part of the programme.
The vice-chancellor while interacting with the German students introduced them about the Gandhian lifestyle and also talked about about the Indian originated yoga.
This exchange programme also includes Kannur University holding up an International management seminar on the topics, 'Marketing and Innovation', scheduled on 08 November 2013.
In between the exchange program, the Entrepreneurship Development Club will also be inaugurated in the University.
