IBPS has conducted the RRB Officer Scale I Mains examination on 5th November 2017 successfully. The examination was conducted in one shift only. The mains exam consists 200 questions comprises of 5 sections which include Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language or Hindi Language, & Computer Knowledge. Total time allotted for the examination was 120 minutes.

Analysis of Examination: The overall difficulty level of the exam was  Difficult.

The section wise details are as follows:

Quantitative Aptitude: This section was Difficult.  There were 40 questions carrying 50 marks. There were 4 sets of DI. The Data Interpretation (DI) was difficult and DI covered various topics like percentage, profit and loss, average, ratio and proportion etc which made it calculative and time-consuming.

Note: It is noticed that no question was asked from the topic quadratic equation and Simplification.

Reasoning: This section was Difficult. Inequality and Syllogism were missing in this section. Puzzle was tough and time-consuming.

Note: Candidates have to attempt either Hindi or English.

English Language: English section was moderate this time. There were two sets of passages of moderate level. The passage was based on Economy. The new type of questions has introduced in this section.

General Awareness: This section was Easy to Moderate. The majority of question asked from banking awareness, static GK and current affairs in this section. It was scoring section.

Computer Knowledge: The question asked in this section was easy and consist the basics questions only.
