IIT, Jodhpur Notified Recruitment of 2 Postdoctoral Research Associates Positions

Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur invited applications for 2 posts of Post-doctoral Research Associate. The vacancies are for a government sponsored project being undertaken in the Center of Excellence System Science under the supervision of Dr. Rakesh K Sharma (Chemistry). • Project Name: Generation, Storage and Distribution of Solar Hydrogen
• Funding Agency: Department of Science and Technology-Technology Systems Development Programme 
• Educational Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Material Science / Synthetic Chemistry; Good background in material synthesis and characterization (NMR, SEM, TEM, X-ray diffraction etc) are required. Candidate with experience in water splitting and hydrogen production will be preferred. 
• Name of Position: Postdoctoral Research Associate;                                          
• Number of vacancy: 1 post
• Project Name: Asymmetric Hydrogenation on Carbon Nanotube Surface
• Funding Agency: Russian Foundation for Basic Research
• Educational Qualifications:  A Ph.D. in Organic / Inorganic Chemistry or closely related discipline; 
• Strong background and demonstrated experience in synthesis and characterization of organic compounds are required.  Candidate must be able to work independently and have good oral and written communication skills. 
• Experience or knowledge in some of the following areas is a plus: analytical techniques for studying new materials and chiral molecules (NMR, IR, UV-VIS, ESI-MS, SEM, TEM, X-ray diffraction, HPLC and GC), extractive separations, and crystallization techniques.

Salary: Rs.22000 per month + 20% HRA (for both the posts)

Duration: The positions are initially for a period of 1 Year and tenable only for the duration of the project.
