Jamia Millia Islamia launched two Post Graduate Courses at its Nanotechnology Centre- M Tech in Nanotechnology and PhD programme in Nanoscience. The course will debut from July 2012 and the application forms for the M Tech programme can be filled till 7 May 2012.
M Tech in Nanotechnology has 20 seats on offer and is spread across 2 years. The selection process for admission to this programme includes Entrance Test followed by an Interview.
The eligibility for the programme is (i) M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry (with Mathematics up to at least Graduation level)/ Electronics/ Material Science/ Electronic Instrumentation with not less than 55% marks in aggregate. OR (ii) Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronic & Communications/ Computer Engineering/ Instrumentation or equivalent examination, with not less than 65% marks.
The Form and Prospectus for the newly launched M Tech in Nanotechnology is available on the university website http://jmi.ac.in or can be bought over the counter from the Jamia campus on all working days. The admission process for the PhD programme in Nanoscience will start in July.
The Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology was launched in December 2011 to support research at the frontiers of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
