Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi has invited interested and eligible candidates to apply for the direct admissions in Ph. D. Programme for the session of 2015-16. Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply within 15 October 2014.

Eligibility:

  • School of International Studies: M.Phil degree with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 in 10 point scale along with a Master’s degree from a recognized university, with FGPA of 6.0 would be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. programme.
  • School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies: M.Phil degree with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 in 10 point scale along with a Master’s degree from a recognized university, with FGPA of 6.0 would be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. programme.
  • School of Social Sciences: M.Phil degree in the concerned subject with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 in 10 point scale along with a Master’s degree from a recognized university, with FGPA of 6.0 would be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. programme.
  • School of Life Sciences: M.Phil degree in the concerned subject  with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 in 10 point scale along with a Master’s degree from a recognized university, with FGPA of 6.0 would be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. programme.
  • School of Physical Sciences: M.Phil/M.Tech degree in the fields like science, engineering, medical and pharmaceutical science with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 in 10 point scale along with a Master’s degree from a recognized university, with FGPA of 6.0 would be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. programme.
  • School of Arts & Aesthetics: M.Phil degree with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 in 10 point scale along with a Master’s degree from a recognized university, with FGPA of 6.0 would be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. programme.
  • School of Computational and Integrative Sciences: M.Phil/M.Tech degree in the fields like science, engineering, medical and pharmaceutical science with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 in 10 point scale along with a Master’s degree from a recognized university, with FGPA of 6.0 would be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. programme.
  • School of Biotechnology: M.Phil /M.Tech. degree in the concerned subject  with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 in 10 point scale along with a Master’s degree from a recognized university, with FGPA of 6.0 would be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. programme.
  • Centre for Molecular Medicine:  Direct admissions would be given to candidates who have a MBBS/MD or BVSc/MVSc degree from a recognized university or an M.Phil degree with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 in 10 point scale.

How to Apply

  • The candidates eligible for the examination can apply for it through prescribed application format.
  • In case the candidate needs to apply for one or more courses, they should fill in separate Application forms for each discipline.
  • The filled in application forms by the candidates must reach to the ‘Section Officer (Admissions), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi- 110067’ through registered post or in person to ‘Room No. 28, Administrative block of the university’, on or before 15 October 2014.
  • Candidates need to submit their examination fees through a demand draft drawn in favor of Jawaharlal Nehru University payable at New Delhi.
