Anna University has invited applications from various candidates to apply for its MBA Programme for the academic session 2016 – 17. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply through proper channel latest by 17 May, 2016.
Anna University was established on 4th September 1978 as a unitary type of University. It offers higher education in Engineering, Technology and allied Sciences relevant to the current and projected needs of the society. The University was formed by bringing together and integrating two well-known technical institutions in the city of Madras.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission in MBA Programme
A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.
(a) 10 + 2 + 3 years pattern (OR)
(b) 10 + 3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern (OR)
(c) B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm. (OR)
(d) (i) 10 + 2 + AMIE* (OR)
(ii) 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*
Selection procedure for Admission in MBA Programme
Successfully registered candidate is required to undertake Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TRANCET) –2016 comprising of Multiple Choice Question.
TRANCET –2016 will be conducted 11th June, 2015 at various specified centres. Final selection will be made on the basis of merit of this entrance test.
How to apply for Anna University’s MBA Programme
Online Mode:
Eligible candidate can registered themself on the official website of the Anna University on or before 17th May 2016 and need to pay Rs.500 or Rs.250 through proper channel as a fee of registration.
Entrance Test Fee
The Candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC / SCA / ST candidates) towards the entrance test fee for MBA programme. A candidate applying for more than one programme has to pay for each additional programme through online only.

The question paper will have sections to:
i) Evaluate the candidate’s ability to identify critically the data and apply the data to business decisions from given typical business situations.
ii) Evaluate the skill of the candidate in answering questions based on the passages in the comprehension.
iii) Evaluate the skill on solving mathematical problems at graduate level including those learnt in plus two or equivalent level.
iv) Test on determining data sufficiency for answering certain questions using the given data and the knowledge of mathematics and use of day-to-day facts.
v) Test the knowledge on written English with questions on errors in usage, grammar, punctuation and the like.

Duplicate Admit Card
If the hall ticket is lost after the test, a duplicate hall ticket can be obtained on payment of ` 100/- in the form of a Demand Draft, with a written request to The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai, indicating the Registration No. / Application No. and the name of the Examination Centre.
Mark Sheet of Test
Mark sheets shall be downloaded from the website by the candidates within 10 days from the date of publication of results of the entrance test. The mark sheet should be produced at the time of admission. If the mark sheet is lost, a duplicate mark sheet can be obtained on payment of Rs. 100/- in the form of a Demand Draft, with a written request to The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai.
