Over 200 budding artists from various colleges in India are going to soon showcase their talent at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts in New Delhi. The festival would begin from October 9 and would feature around 350 artworks which would consist of drawings, paintings, printmaking, illustrations, digital art, sculptures, photographs, installations, new media and mix media art forms. The title of the festival is decided to be ‘Prarambh’.
The festival is organized by Art Route, which is responsible for the overall development, promotion and education of art at various levels around the world. It is going to be the first of its kind student’s art festival in India and is expected to kick start many such festivals in future. The festival is scheduled to continue till October 12 where students from art colleges all over the nation are taking part. Some of the colleges and universities that are taking part are:
