North Eastern Railway Notified Recruitment for 03 Posts against Sports Quota 2014 – 15

Mechanical Workshop, North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur invited applications from eligible candidates, who fulfill the requisite criteria for filling up the following below mentioned Group ‘D’ posts against “Sports Quota 2014 - 15”. The candidates eligible for the post may apply on or before 20 October 2014 up to 05.30 PM.

Educational Qualification 

• Possess Matriculation or ITI or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
• Participated on the State Level or country Level in ‘C’ Championship or events or in Senior/ Youth/ Junior National Championship with requisite certification.

Age Limit

18 to 25 years

Pay Scale

Pay Band (PB – 1) and the Pay Scale is of Rs. 5,200/- to Rs. 20,200/- plus the Grade Pay of Rs. 1,800/- Per Month.

Examination Fee

• Examination Fee (Non- refundable) of Rs. 100/- (One Hundred only)  in the form of Demand Draft or Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of “Sports Secretary, Mechanical Workshop, North Easter Railway, Gorakhpur”, payable at Gorakhpur.

Selection Procedure

The short listed candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the Sports Trials followed with the assessment of achievements in sports and Personality Test, which might be conducted by the administration.

Interested Candidates may apply in the prescribed format along with attested photo copies of the relevant certificates/ testimonials in support of date of birth, qualifications, experience, category (SC/ ST/ PWD), Sports Achievement Certificates etc. with three recent Passport size Photograph one should be affix on the application form and other enclosed with it may be forwarded to the “Senior Personnel Officer (Workshop), Mechanical Workshop, North Easter Railway, Gorakhpur – 273 012” by post or may also be dropped in the drop box during office hours at the office of the  “Workshop Manager (P), Mechanical Workshop, North Easter Railway, Gorakhpur – 273 012” on or before 20 October 2014.
