Oriental Insurance Company Limited will conduct examination for recruitment to Officer I scale. A total of 246 seats have been allotted for the post. The candidates who wish to appear in the examination should know the exam pattern. The date of examination is scheduled to be held in May 2015.
The exam pattern for the examination should be known to the candidates who wish to appear for the examination. Below is the entire format of exam pattern that will help the aspirants to get a clear idea about how to prepare well for the examination.
Candidates will be called for online examination to be held on May’15 (Tentative).The test shall comprise of the following-
For Generalist

There will be negative marks for wrong answer, 1/4th of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to appear for the online examination at their own expenses on date of online examination. The descriptive English Test will be conducted only through online mode. Questions will be displayed on the screen of your computer. Answers are to be typed using the keyboard. Before start of typing answers to questions in Descriptive Paper please check all key functions of the keyboard. You will get 45 minutes to answer the questions.
The total marks of the examination will be 200. Candidates who qualify the online Examination will be shortlisted for Interview on the basis of over all marks scored in objective and descriptive section taken together against full marks of 200.
Cut off Score: Cutoff score shall be applied in two stages:
(i) On scores in individual tests.
(ii) On Total Score.
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for short listing for the Descriptive paper evaluation/Interview. Descriptive answer script would be evaluated only in respect of those candidates who qualify the objective test. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut offs will be decided for Descriptive paper evaluation and further short listing for interviews.
