Eligibility Criteria for Faculty Posts

Educational Qualification:

• For Humanities:-Management/ Communication Skills: Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks in English/Business Administration/ Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management/ Post Graduate Diploma in Management Administration/ Commerce/ Economics/ Psychology/ Sociology followed by Ph.D./ Fellowship from Indian Institute of Management or equivalent in the relevant area OR ii)First class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and First class degree in Business Administration/Post Graduate diploma awarded by Indian Institute of Management or its equivalent followed by Ph.D./ Fellowship from Indian Institute of Management or equivalent in the relevant area.
• Aerospace Engg, Production & Industrial Engg, Mechanical Engg, Computer Science & Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronics &Communication Engg: First class in both Master’s Degree and Bachelor Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech.).
• Materials & Metallurgical Engg.: First class in both Master's Degree and Bachelor Degree in Engineering &/ or Technology in the field of Metallurgy / Materials. Or i) First class in both Master's Degree and Bachelor Degree Mechanical (Engineering / Technology)/ Production (Engineering/ Technology) followed by Ph.D. in materials/ Metallurgy related topic. Or i) First class in Bachelor Degree in Mechanical (Engineering/ Technology)/ Production (Engineering / Technology) followed by First class in Master's Degree in Engineering &/ or Technology in Materials / Metallurgy with Ph.D. in Materials / Metallurgy related topic. Or i) First class in Master's Degree in Material Science / Chemistry / Physics followed by first class in Master's Degree of Engineering &/ or Technology in Materials / Metallurgy with Ph. D in Materials / Metallurgy related topic.
• Applied Sciences Department: First class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii) Cleared theNational Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii) Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009.
