PPSC Announced Test Schedule for Physical test for Dy. Superintendent of Police Posts 2014

    Punjab Public Service Commission, Patiala released the revised parameters for the Physical Test for recruitment to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).  The candidates have to mandatorily qualify the prescribed Physical Test events. The revised parameters for the Physical Test for the post of DSPs are:

    Events for Male Candidates

    1. 1600 meters race: To be completed within 7 minutes 30 seconds (to be achieved in 1 attempt only)

    2. Long Jump: Minimum 3.60 meters (to be achieved in 3 attempts only)

    3. High Jump: Minimum 1.15 meters (to be achieved in 3 attempts only)

    4. Vertical Rope: climb 2.0 meters from the ground (to be achieved in 3 attempts only)

    Events for Female Candidates

    1. 800 meters race: To be completed within 4 minutes 45 seconds (to be achieved in 1 attempt only)

    2. Long Jump: Minimum 3.00 meters (to be achieved in 3 attempts only)

    3. High Jump: Minimum 1.00 meter (to be achieved in 3 attempts only)

    4. Shuttle: Running between 2 parallel lines 10 meter apart, five times in 20 seconds (to be achieved in 1 attempt only)

    The candidates have to also qualify any 2 physical test events of the 3 physical tests. The 3 Physical tests are:

    • For Male Candidates: Height of 5 feet and 7 inches and normal Chest measurement of 33 inch with expansion of 1.5 inch.
    • or female (Women) Candidates: Height of 5 feet and 3 inches 

    Note: The provisions regarding Physical Measurements shall remain same as per Punjab Police Rules.
