Q. What kind of preparations do I have to take before appearing in a GD?
Ans. A few banks have opted for Group Discussion as one of the screening criteria as it helps in choosing the socially suitable candidate among the superior achievers who have qualified the written test.
The first step to your preparation is reading as the more you read, the better you are in your thoughts. Panellists judge candidates on their knowledge about a certain topic candidates should be in good touch with current affairs, the debates, and latest topics of discussion. Reading multiple view points on the same topic will help the candidate to create his/ her view point with rationale. If you forget some facts, use words/liners like approximately, according the experts, based on surveys etc so that it sounds correct. Be clear, objective, and logical in whatever you are presenting. Try to keep it simple and smart. The electronic media also will be of good use here.
