Rajasthan Government has taken up a unique initiative of keeping student’s parents informed about their wards performance and attendance in school through SMS.
This SMS system is to be implemented in over 2,000 government schools across the state. The schools will inform the parents about attendance and their performance of their children in examination.
This step has been taken up at wide platform because there have been instances where a child goes out of his home, informing parents that he is going to school and never turns up at school.
Therefore, school administration wants to give factual information to the parents so that they know how their children are performing.
Initially, two SMS will be sent to the parents' registered mobile number and if there is no response from them, a representative of the school will call up the parents on phone and inform them accordingly.
Even the progress report of the children will be sent to the parents by SMS.
