Residential School to Come up for SC/ST Students near Guntur

    The Tribal Welfare Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Ravela Kishor Babu announced that there would soon be a residential school and junior college for students of SC and ST community. The school and college would come up in the city outskirts of Takkellapadu, near Guntur.

    According to the minister the district administration has already finalized 5.15 acre land for the project and the government has approved Rs. 15 crore for the project. The project would kick start soon and from the next academic year the operations are expected to begin.

    According to the minister the institution would be able to serve 720 students from class VI to Class XII students in the state who belong to SC/ST community.
