Staff Selection Commission issued notification for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police (DP) and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) , Assistant Sub-Inspectors in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Intelligence Officer in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The Commission will hold an All India Examination for recruitment to the posts in June and August 2013. Interested candidates should send their applications till 12 April 2013.

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2103):

Minimum: 20 years

Maximum: 25 years

Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University or equivalent

Other Qualifications:
for Sub Inspector in Delhi Police -- Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle & Car).

Pay Scale & Category:  
For Sub-Inspector in CAPFs: Pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200. Classified as Group B, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
For Sub Inspector in Delhi Police: Pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200. Classified as Group C by Delhi Police.
For Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF: Pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs.2800. Classified as Group C.
For Intelligence Officer in NCB: Pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600. Classified as Group B, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Written Examination, Physical Endurance Test / Medical Examination and Interview / Personality test.

All candidates who apply by the Closing Date will be assigned Roll numbers, which will be placed on the website of concerned Regional Office of the Commission within two weeks from the Closing Date.

Admission Certificates (ACs) for the Examination indicating the time table and also venues of examination for each candidate will be issued to all applicants about two weeks before the date of examination.

The Written Examination will have two papers. While Paper-I is scheduled for 10 June 2013, Paper-II is scheduled for 18 August 2013. Both the papers will have 200 Objective Type Multiple Choice of one mark each. Duration of both the papers will be 2 hours. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer marked on OMR Answer Sheet.

The Commission will fix different minimum qualifying standards in each part of Paper I. Only those candidates, who score above the cut off marks fixed by the Commission in Paper I would be declared eligible for appearing for the Physical Endurance Test / Medical examination and only these candidates will be called for Paper-II. Paper-II of only such candidates who qualify in PST/PET will be evaluated.

All the candidates who qualify in the PET will be medically examined. Those who are found fit in the medical examination and qualify in the written examination also (i.e. combined marks in Paper-I and Paper-II) will be called for Personality Test / Interview of 100 marks.

Finally selected candidates for the posts of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector will have to pass seven obstacle events – Jumping over the Vertical Board; Holding the rope on jumping from the Board; Tarzan Swing; Jumping on the Horizontal Board; Parallel Rope; Monkey Crawl; and Vertical Rope; as part of training curriculum failing which they may not be retained in the Force.

After the written Examination and the Interview /personality test, the Commission will draw an All India Merit List of the selected candidates and recommend them for appointment, on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates
Candidates selected for the posts of S.I. in CAPFs & ASI in CISF are liable to serve anywhere in India.

Application Fees:  Non-refundable application fee of Rs.100 has to be paid either through CRF Stamps (in case of Off-line payment of fees) or on-line through State Bank of India Challan / Net-banking.

Off-line payment of fees: Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS), available at all Departmental Post Offices,  should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Post Office in such a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamps partially overflows on the Application Form itself. The stamp impression should be clear and distinct to facilitate the identification of date and Post Office of issue at any subsequent stage. Applications with CRFS not cancelled by the post office will be rejected outright.

On-line payment of fees: Candidates submitting their applications on-line should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of challan or net-banking.

Female / SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

How to Apply: The application must be submitted only in the prescribed format – either online or off-line.

Online Application:
Candidates willing to apply on line can do so through the Commission’s website  up to 10 April 2013 (5:00 pm) for Part-I Registration and up to 12 April 2013 (5.00 p.m.) for Part-II Registration. On successful Part-I Registration, a Registration No. will be generated by the system. Candidates should note down the registration number or take out a print out of the page, deposit the fees and proceed with the Part-II Registration.

On-line application will be complete only after scanned signature and photo are uploaded as per instructions.

Candidates who have to pay application fee can pay fee online through SBI net banking can go directly to Part II registration after completion of Part I, by entering Registration Number and Date of Birth.

Candidates willing to pay fee in cash should take a print-out of challan generated online after completion of Part I Registration, deposit the requisite fee in any branch of State Bank of India and then continue with the Part II registration.

Candidates applying online should retain the Registration Number assigned to them online for correspondence with the Commission. They should not submit print outs of their application to the Commission.

Offline Application:
Candidates should send their applications, in the prescribed format, with "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)" pasted and cancelled from the Post Office of issue, to the concerned Regional Office / Sub Regional Offices of the Commission after completing other formalities.

Applications with CRFS not cancelled by the post office will be rejected.

NOTE: Physically Handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination.

Only a single application will be entertained. In case of multiple online applications, the Last application for which Part.I and Part.II registration have been completed will be accepted. In case of multiple off-line applications, the
Concerned regional office will accept any one of the applications at their Discretion.
