SSC-Northern Region Notified Recruitment for Various Group B & C Posts 2014

Staff Selection Commission, Northern Region invited applications for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Extension Officer, Senior Technical Assistant (Manure), Data Entry Operator Grade B, Technician and Technical Assistant (Insecticide). The candidates eligible for the posts may send their applications in the prescribed format along with the copies of required documents on or before 26 September 2014.

Pay Scale:

• Assistant Extension Officer: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-
• Senior Technical Assistant (Manure): Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-
• Data Entry Operator Grade B: Rs.5200-20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2800/-
• Technician: Rs.5200-20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2400/-
• Technical Assistant (Insecticide): Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Assistant Extension Officer: Master Degree in Agriculture OR Agricultural Extension OR Agricultural Sciences OR Rural Management OR Management Degree with BSc.
• Senior Technical Assistant (Manure): Master Degree in Agriculture OR Agricultural Chemistry OR Agronomy.
• Data Entry Operator Grade B: Degree or equivalent and should possess a speed of 8000 keys depression per hour.
• Technician: Bachelor Degree in Biology or Microbiology.
• Technical Assistant (Insecticide): Bachelor Degree in Agriculture.

Age Limit

• Candidate’s age should be between 18-30 years for Assistant Extension Officer, Senior Technical Assistant (Manure) and Technical Assistant (Insecticide).
• Candidate’s age should be between 18-27 years for Data Entry Operator Grade B and Technician.

Application Fee

• Candidates have to pay the fee of Rs.50/- in the shape of CRFS pasted at the top of the application in the space provided which must be got cancelled from the counter clerk of any post office.
• Women candidates /Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ PH and ExS. Candidates are exempted from the fees.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of educational qualifications, academic records, percentage of marks etc or through a screening test/proficiency test/interview.

How to Apply

• Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format.
• Application Form, duly complete in all respect, along with one recent passport size photograph affixed and one additionally duly attested photograph to be enclosed, attested copies of all relevant certificates/ mark sheets, caste certificates (if applicable) should be submitted to the Regional Director (NR), Staff Selection Commission, Block No. 12, Lodhi Road, CGO Complex, New Delhi-110504 on or before 26 September 2014.
