Symbiosis institute of technology has announced the exam dates for SET

The admissions to B. Tech program of Symbiosis Institute of Technology will be based on the merit of the candidate either in SET or in JEE Main. The admission will be carried out through open counseling. Candidates have to be physically present on the date of counseling along with their original certificates. The details of the counseling procedure and documents required will be available on the institute's website.

Admission through Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET):

• Candidates have to register themselves for SET examination on www.set-test.org. Fee for the test is rs. 1500/- only.
• Registration start date: February 10th,2015
• Last date of registration for SET examination: April 12th, 2015
• Register for Symbiosis Institute of Technology by payment of Rs. 1000/- on www.sitpune.edu.in latest by June 5th, 2015.
• Report in the Institute on June 7th, 2015 for counseling for admission based on SET merit.

Admission through JEE(Main):

• Apply for admission to Symbiosis Institute of Technology by filling up the form online and making a payment of Rs. 1500/-, on www.sitpune.edu.in latest by 12th June, 2015.
• The Score in the entrance examination can be submitted later.
• Registered candidates can communicate their marks /rank in the examination after declaration of the result.
• Report in the Institute for counseling and admission on 14th June, 2015

Payment at time of Admission:

1. Bank Demand Draft of Rs. 1,00,000/- drawn in favor of Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, to be deposited at the time of admission
2. Bank Demand Draft of Rs. 50,000/- drawn in favor of Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, to be deposited at the time of admission for hostel confirmation.

Eligibility for SET:
Indian Students

• Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical vocational subject
• Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
• Good Scores in any one of the following entrance exams: JEE (Main) or Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).

International Students (NRI/PIO/Foreign Nationals):

• Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical vocational subject
• Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
• Do not have to appear for entrance exam (SET/JEE-Main) in India
