The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) is a Development Financial Institute for the promotion and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector in the country. The recruitment in SIDBI, like any other nationalised bank, take place as the vacancy arises. The interested and eligible candidates for various posts need to undergo through written test and personal interview round conducted by the concerned recruitment authority to get the job. Hundred posts of Assistant Managers are vacant presently, for which SIDBI is going to conduct the written examination on 24th January. The aspiring candidates who want to make their career in banking are applying for the post and are already initiating preparation for the same.

The Assistant Manager recruitment consists of online objective and descriptive test along with personal interview round. The objective test consists of five papers namely: Computer Knowledge, English Language, General Awareness, Reasoning Aptitude and Quantitative Aptitude.

Tips for SIDBI Assistant Manager Examination

  • Get a clear idea of the examination Pattern: By undergoing the official notification the candidates must at the beginning understand the examination pattern of both objective and descriptive test. The written examination is followed by personal interview round conducted by the concerned authority. The written examination consists of 250 marks in total including the descriptive test. The marks in the descriptive test would only get evaluated if the candidates could score the required cut off marks in the objective written test. Hence, the candidates must focus on both the tests and make a strategy before start their preparation.
  •  Find your weak areas and work upon it: Scoring well in any competitive examination takes the candidates to find out their weaker areas and try mending them as efficiently as possible.
  • Work hard at English Language section: Those who are weak in the English Language need to work really hard for this examination as they would have to show overall knowledge of the language ranging from sentence formation skills, reading comprehension, grammar along with writing skills. They also need to understand the basic format of business letter writing and essay writing to tackle the descriptive test. The subject demands basic knowledge from the candidates and thus they should undergo secondary and higher secondary syllabus to prepare well for this section.
  • Improve your typing skills: Typing becomes an important component in the descriptive test for this examination as the candidates would have to answer the test through their computer, typing. The candidates would get 45 minutes to solve the descriptive test and thus should be very quick on the keyboard. They should look after the accuracy of the printed words as well, because there would not be any software which would auto-correct the words written by the candidates while they would write. Practicing at home or at any typing learning centre could help in this regard.
  • Keep tab on the time during preparation: Candidates should focus to enhance their speed of solving questions. The candidates have to answer the questions in limited time and thus should practice through mock question papers, previous year question papers and model set questions, available in many books and online sources.
