The Times Higher Education Magazine, UK (THE) has released for the very first time the ‘Indian Top 10 List”.
As per the list, The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore stands for the first position, followed by IIT Bombay, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), IIT Kanpur and IIT Delhi respectively.
The University of Delhi took the sixth position as the first fully fledged University on the list. The rankings have been carefully crafted on the basis of expert judgments of senior and published academics.
Globally, not a single Indian institution has made it to the ‘top hundred’. Harvard University tops the list, it is followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University.
