UGC declared result for UK- India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) Thematic Partnership for which a total of 20 proposals across various universities were selected. A total of 16 Universities/ colleges for India and 18 universities from London will join hands for Research in their specialised theme areas.
The proposal in partnership from Indian and UK Higher Education Institutions, which are recognised under the Section 2(f) and 12 B of the UGC Act, were invited by University Grants Commission to develop mutually beneficial research partnerships.
The UK India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) started in April 2006 with the aim of enhancing educational links between India and the UK. Phase Two (2011 to 2016) of UKIERI was announced in July 2010 by Prime Minister of both the countries and is jointly funded by the Indian and UK governments.
