UGC NET Exam Day Guidelines: The UGC NET December 2024 exam has begun today, January 3, and will continue till January 16, 2025, covering 85 subjects. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam will be held in two shifts at various exam centres spread across the country. UGC NET December Exam 2024 Guidelines

Aspirants buckling up to appear for UGC NET December 2024 exam must check the exam day guidelines to avoid any last-minute trouble or hassle.

• Carry a printed copy of your UGC NET admit card along with a valid photo ID proof. The photo ID proof must be government-issued and include your date of birth and photograph. Acceptable IDs include Aadhaar Card/Printout of E-Aadhaar, Voter’s ID, Driving Licence, PAN Card, Passport, ID Card issued by a University/College/School.
• Ensure that your photograph and signature are clearly visible on the printed copy of your admit card.
• Arrive at least 30 minutes before your shift time to complete the identification purpose and frisking.
• Electronic items such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, and other gadgets are strictly prohibited.
• Do not bring any personal stationery items like rough sheets, notebooks, or pens. The exam authorities will provide all necessary materials such as pens and paper.
• Consuming food or beverages inside the examination hall is prohibited.
• Any form of cheating or disruptive behaviour will lead to immediate disqualification.
• Leave the exam hall only after completing the entire test and following the exit instructions.

UGC NET Shift Timings

UGC NET exam is scheduled to be held from January 3 to 16, 2025. It will be conducted in two shifts: Shift 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Shift 2 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Candidates are advised to reach the UGC NET exam centre at least one hour before their shift timings to complete the verification process.
