UK Government declared the Chevening Gurukul Programme for India and it is aimed at mid-career and high-flying young professionals from diverse backgrounds with a strong and demonstrable leadership potential.
Candidates who are eligible to apply for the programme must be from public, private and non-governmental organizations who are Independent and creative thinker, Able to demonstrate the ability to develop collaboration between India and the UK, often in complex and fast-moving areas.
Every year twelve selected Gurukul Fellows will be offered an intensive, twelve-week residential course at King’s College London.
The fellowship for each student will cover the following expenses:
- All KCL study fees
- Accommodation for fellows
- A subsistence allowance
- Return airfare from India to UK
- Travel to and from London and local travel in London
- Reimbursement of UK Visa
- Travel and accommodation on study visits
The course will be team-taught and in addition to the academics from King’s College London (KCL) and beyond, the faculty will comprise of leading professionals and practitioners from diverse sectors and policy leaders.
