The UP Board set up in the year 1921 conducted its first examination in 1923. The UP Board set up at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council conducts board exams for both class 10 and 12 students. Last year, in 2011 with an overall pass percentage of 70.82% against the 70.79% in 2010, the results indicated a below average performance of the students.
